150 watts won't rattle fillings, but it'll add some bottom end for "commuter listening".
Are you planning to use the amp for the sub only, or to power your mains, too? If sub-only, you're better with a mono amp.

Depends on your goals if the alpine will be enough.

If running the sub @ 2 ohms I'd not get the Skar mentioned above it would not offer anything over the alpine and would be a waste of money.

You could run your Alpine for a bit and if you feel you need more power step up to something that offers like 600rms @ the ohm load you are running.

Your Alpine will do 250 RMS @ 2 ohms.

Yeah, assuming the sub will have a final impedance of 2-ohm, the Alpine amp may be enough for your needs. However, the Crutchfield link does not work on my end. If that Rockford loaded P3 is only available in 1-ohm, the Alpine will be low on power if you rewire it to 4 ohm at 300 watts. And if the sub can not be rewired, or is just 1-ohm, the Alpine amp is not rated to handle 1-ohm.

From what I seen though, that Alpine MRV-500 is rated at 500 RMS at 2-ohms, which is pretty close to what that sub is rated at = 600 RMS. A Dyno run of that MRV-500 shows it did over 550 RMS @ 2-ohm.

You'd think you could get that loaded P3 in a D4 variant to be wired to 2-ohm, but I seen 1-ohm only with a quick search. If that is the case, an amp that does 600+ at 1-ohm is what you would need to get maximum output from that sub, but depends on what your after sound wise.

As mentioned above, the box/subwoofer combo comes up as being 1-ohm. That map will not work down to 1-ohm. However, that Alpine amp has been rated to push about 600 watts, as you can see by it having two 30-amp fuses.
