Unless you taught them to read and write in a very short time, they would have been doing so at 3. But you balked when I suggested that number, which puts us at 1, or 2.

Yes they could write their names and sentences like "I love my mom and dad" on a picture they drew, or read their books that we bought them when they started pre school at 4 years and some change.. I never said they were reading and writing at high school level. why do you find this hard to believe? are you inbred?

I was in the spelling bee every year 1st through 6th but 2nd grade is the the only year I was Champion of the school. I got a trophy.. It was 1988.

My brother was in the spelling bee every year too and won champion twice.

My mom had us both reading before we started Kindergarten (we didn't go to pre school)
Also my brother got to skip a grade in elementary.
