New Head unit, cut all wires… need help

Got my son a new double don head unit for Christmas and he went out to install it. He cut all the wires and doesn’t know which goes where… the vehicle is a 2002 ram 2500 and the head is a volxcereo from Amazon. Any help will be much appreciated. His check engine light came on.

If he cut the factory harness that was in the dash he may need to re connect it back

Buy a aftermarket stereo wiring harness for his make and model truck
Then you splice the wires from the head unit harness to the aftermarket harness

Which will act as an adapter to plug into the factory harness

It will look something like this
One end is the one that came with his stereo the other end will be the aftermarket adapter

Here is the wiring diagram from the original radio as well as the new radio. We aren’t sure which wires to connect to which other wires(from the back of the radio to the cut stock wires). The speaker wires will be easy enough to figure out, it’s just the power, ignition and ground we’re not having luck with. We wired the head unit right to the battery (+ and -) and it fired up. It’s the wires in the dash that have us confounded

Acc is trigger wire to turn radio on
it's pin 7
Bottom diagram its red

Gnd is ground pin 8
Black wire on bottom diagram
Head unit ground wire can also just be grounded to some structural metal inside the dash

Bat or B+ is power pin 9
And yellow on bottom diagram

We’ve tried that… didn’t work! We might run dedicated wires from the positive and negative posts of the battery and just use the trigger wire from the ignition. HOPEFULLY that will do it🤞
On the head unit some of the wires are piggybacked and split off into TWO wires. Why would that be? Can we just twist them together or do they have another purpose?

Thank you for all your help! We got it working and figured out the speaker wires. I do have questions- 1- what does the “illumination” wire do?
2- what does the “park” wire do?
Are these needed or can we just tape them off, as the unit appears to work without them being hooked up.

Illumination is probably for your dash dimmer to dim headunit with dash

Disconnected it will probably just stay at a fixed brightness

I'm not sure what park wire does
I'm suspecting to sense when ur in park for something that does something 🤷‍♂️
