Hello again everyone! Questions about crossover settings.

I’ve done as much research as I can, but I’m still lost. If anyone can dumb this down for me…I mean basement level dumb down..like so dumbed down we set car audio systems back to cowboys playing guitars on horses…I wish I was kidding.

Is this just a matter of adjusting to preferred settings or are there certain base settings or even “mandatory” settings? The system sounds great. I’m learning about the common adjustments but I’m still missing something. I can’t quite get my bass balanced with my system which is relative because everything sounds good. The rear speakers have bass as well and I want to cut out all the bass except the main bass system. Thank you for reading.

When you say "I can't quite get my bass balanced with my system", are you talking volume, gaps or overlap in frequencies, underemphasis or overemphasis at certain frequencies, etc.

What is the year, make, model, and trim of the vehicle that it's installed in?

What are the settings for the channels on the HU currently?
What are the amplifier settings currently?
What speakers are being driven by which amp(s)?

What kind of music and does it happen regardless of the music genre?

There are standard starting points, but you need to know a bit more about what you're working with.
