Isn't he the guy who made up a fake "expert" ("Ron Vara") that he "consulted" for 5 of his 13 books, including Death By China (the one that resulted in him being chosen as Trump's advisor, even though Trump never read the book)?

Yeah, ANY recommendation he makes should be met with a "C'mon, man". Especially if it's a recommendation that Trump be given a Nobel prize for his shitty economic policy.

Obama got one for no reason whatsoever. I guess it's just a popularity contest at this point and Trump isn't very popular. We can ignore the fact that he appears to have ~1/3rd of an economic policy plan and hopes he can just count on lower rates.

Also those rights we're supposedly born with vary greatly depending on where you reside...like the middle east for example Rob would be executed in short order because he'd still believe he's more "right" than the ruling government. In China he would be prison labor (but he'd be doing his part to keep the TVs cheap) since he'd be more "right" than ccp...in Japan he'd be ostracized for lack of social graces for once again being more "right" but this by the populace...

So I guess some people just draw the short straw and get born with fewer rights than others

You should read up on the process they went through to select him, and why they selected him.
It reads a lot like it was not a "no reason whatsoever" process.

Not to let details muck up a conversation, but it happens to be the Nobel PEACE Prize, not the Nobel ECONOMICS Prize.
Even if Trump didn't fark the economy once again, his economic policy would not merit being chosen. Nobel's will stipulated what the award was to be given for:
"The interest is to be divided into five equal parts and distributed as follows: one part to the person who made the most important discovery or invention in the field of physics; one part to the person who made the most important chemical discovery or improvement; one part to the person who made the most important discovery within the domain of physiology or medicine; one part to the person who, in the field of literature, produced the most outstanding work in an ideal direction; and one part to the person who has done the most or best to advance fellowship among nations, the abolition or reduction of standing armies, and the establishment and promotion of peace congresses."

Yes, I believe in the existence of the COTUS and the DOI. I also support what they stand for.
