I do think the right calling everything fraud is overboard. Ie, paying for DEI plays in Ireland is ridiculous and wasteful, but not fraud.

Privatize Fannie/Freddie and dissolving CFPB could be horrible moves IMHO. The banks and mortgage industry in particular, are not to be trusted.

I have to admit, I thought the right was wrong when they claimed that the power grab that happened with Covid was just the beginning. I hope we can turn this around. It looks like we can turn it around in the US, but Europe had always leaned into fascism more than the US and they are further down this rabbit hole.

Personally think the next election is going to determine wokeness of the US but the DNC has internal conflict with old guard, next generation, strategists and well see if they unite before midterms and ‘28. But 28yo David Hogg got elected to DNC vice chair seems like they are doubling down on goin full retard.

Yeah, they seem really determined to hang onto wokeness. I hope the core message of the DNC continues to be woke messaging and that the right is a bunch of fascist white supremacist and misogynist. My favorite is that claim the election of Trump marks the return of The Handsmaid Tale. Apparently, feminist are unaware The Handsmaid Tale is a work of fiction.

Come on Mitch, clearly it's time to go. Didn't Mitch just witness what happened to Biden; does he really want to go out in the same way? And who is pulling his strings and getting him to oppose Trump nominees? Do they feel guilty for taking advantage of an old man suffering from dementia?

I don't get the hatred for Trump. Jan 6/stolen election was bad, but that ship has sailed. Policywise, what was so horrible about Trump? Iirc per Rob there was a spike in immigration under Trump. You can't hold children in cages against Trump since that was an Obama policy. We got warp speed/vax inder Trump and Trump even came back after his loss to encourage Americans to get the jab. Pretty centrist governance if you ask me.

This term seems to be a measure of how committed the left is to unaccounted for spending. That just strikes me as really insane. Why do they want their own tax dollars wasted???

I think >75% of the whole stolen election/Jan 6 hoopla was just the left wing media searching for ratings and getting away with it because the Democrats said they could. I believe Trump genuinely wants to do good by America. The left can't stand it. Sad.

Liberals in America have no clue of dark side of totalitarian society. A good friend of mine lived in Germany when his wife was stationed there. Basically he experienced and explained to me everything about socialism healthcare rich/Poor side, environmental justice, nationalism and hate of America, zero tolerance police, VAT tax, you will own nothing and be happy.
