I installed an aftermarket stereo and license plate reverse camera in my 2016 F250 and the resolution of the camera is terrible. The resolution for apple maps looks great. I bought a 2nd license plate camera and had the same problem. Can anybody let me know of a license plate camera that you have been happy with that cost less than $125?
If you're experiencing low resolution with your aftermarket license plate reverse camera, it might be due to a few reasons, including the quality of the camera itself, wiring issues, or the integration with your aftermarket stereo.
When looking for a replacement camera under $125, here are a few options that are generally well-reviewed and known for good video quality:
1. **Backup Camera by Esky**: This camera offers a 170-degree wide angle view and is often praised for its night vision capabilities. It tends to provide decent video quality for the price.
2. **AUTO-VOX M1W Wireless Backup Camera**: This model is wireless, which simplifies installation. Users report that the video quality is acceptable for general use.
3. **LeeKooLuu Backup Camera**: This camera provides a good balance between price and quality. It's known for clear day and night vision and comes with a display for easy integration.
4. **Pyle PLCM22**: Pyle offers several models, and the PLCM22 is a popular option that includes a wide-angle view and decent night vision performance.
When choosing a replacement, make sure to check customer reviews specifically mentioning video quality and compatibility with aftermarket stereos. Also, ensure that the wiring and integration to your stereo are properly completed, as this can affect camera performance as well.
