I was throwing a touch of reality into the discussion. The top dog always takes the blame and the praise, but the reality is that the frontliners are the ones who handle the issue.Did you read what I posted: "A STATE that's prone to wildfires and droughts didn't prepare for fires or store water."
Since when are frontline firefighters responsible for things like water storage, brush clearing, controlled burns, etc? Unless the frontline firefighters were refusing to do controlled burns, this stuff is out of their hands, much like it isn't their fault there is no water to fight the fires with. There is a reason Trump is calling out Gov Newsom and not Joe Fireman.
State Farm saw this coming from a mile away and cancelled Homeowner's Policies, but Cali's elected officials decided to ignore the problem and now the citizens of California are paying the price.
Hell you just puckering up on Newsome's backdoorI was throwing a touch of reality into the discussion. The top dog always takes the blame and the praise, but the reality is that the frontliners are the ones who handle the issue.
Everyone not involved has great (/s) solutions, like having 10,000 water tanker trucks on standby (who drives them? who maintains them? who fills them? where do they store them?), massive desalination plants to get fresh water (at what cost? who pays the startup costs? where does the brine go?), and "pump it from the ocean to fight the fire" (as if you just drop a sump pump "in the ocean" and run a hose 1-15 miles or more to the west side of the fire).
Then you have people stating that there is a firefighter shortage, but simultaneously complaining that budgets are subsequently shrinking.
'Not sure about you, but if I'm employing less people in a department, I'm shrinking that departmental budget, and the money is gelling allocated elsewhere. Business 101.
But don't ya' think it's weird that no one in California can figure it out, when so many online pundits know EXACLTY what to do??
It's kinda' like COVID, when every Joe Blow who "did their own research" and knew the vaccine/masks/lockdowns were wrong somehow, but not a SINGLE one of them offered a real solution or an alternative to what was being done.
Funny how that works, eh?

LOL - I just watched Asmongold (on youtube) cover this - insanity. At least that lifts some blame from Newsom and I get my pistachios and pomegranate juice.@Jimi77

How This Billionaire Couple Stole California's Water Supply
In a series of secret meetings, the Resnicks seized control of California’s public water supply. Now they’ve built a business empire by selling it back to working people.perfectunion.us
You mentioned the search feature being not very useful. Today I’ve attempted to give it revamp. Now, as you type in a search query it will do a quick search and prepopulate the results with some of the most relevant results, right in the search box drop down. This is how Google and Amazon, etc. do their searches. Just eliminates some time and simplifies the process a little.
When I said "Try Harder," I meant it. You really need to start thinking about what you are saying before you say it.He just posted it, and it has nothing to do with the current fire?
What alternate reality are you living in?
I'm talking about this post, contrasted with one from four months ago.

Trump knew this was an issue years ago. How long has the 5th largest economy in the world (that routinely experiences droughts and wildfires) have to desalinate? They drained a reservoir to reintroduce some fish, because this fish is obviously more important than the wildfires and droughts. Eggs just posted about the suspended firefighters because of covid vax non-compliance - who the fudge cares about vax status now?!?!?! Pure politics!I was throwing a touch of reality into the discussion. The top dog always takes the blame and the praise, but the reality is that the frontliners are the ones who handle the issue.

Yes, I did say Trumps comments will not affect this fire. Again, I am correct. But Slapper just said it had nothing to do with the fires.
This feels like Thx and Slapper having completely different beliefs about what happens to Trump's ear, yet both arguing that I am wrong about it.
Did you see Biden said the Fed will cover 100% of the damage from the fires? He sure was tighter with the purse strings when it was hurricanes hitting Red states.Yes, I did say Trumps comments will not affect this fire. Again, I am correct.
Yes, What I believe is called a "Fact." At this point, Trump has no authority to pull funds from any state, for any reason. So, you tell me how I am wrong by saying Trump's words will not affect this fire?
Nice try Rob. Please try harder.
At least you finally admit that Biden and Kamala are liars.
