I will say this, a 223/556 round does not cause the damage that the democrats are trying to push. I can't roll my eyes far enough whenever I hear people, like Pelosi, say that a 223/556 will completely destroy a dear to the point where no meat is left and/or, a huge hole is blown through the target/game.

I think a human death is probably enough damage. But yes, non-enthusiasts are far too prone to repetition of false info. Like the twats who think the color of a gun makes it an "assault rifle.

It's OK that you don't understand the concept of a 5.56 and a .223 being identical for all intents and purposes (as you yourself shared in the video YOU posted to prove your point).
We know that you are easily confused by math and by numbers.

It's comical to listen to you being ok with a term like all intents and purposes while you ignore the technical and factual truths that they are two different cartridges. Demands proof and facts until it suits you to ignore them in your argument.

So, are you unwilling to explain the difference in the size of hole a .223 round from a .223 rifle and cartridge punches in paper at 3,000FPS, versus the size of a hole a .223 round fired from a 5.56 cartridge at 3,000FPS punches in paper?

Here is my theory. The higher pressure of the 5.56 will have it moving faster than the .223 so I think that the slower moving .223 will do more damage to that paper because, this is for Rob, "technically" it will spend more time going through the paper and the friction alone will cause more damage than the faster moving 5.56. Thoughts Old_Slapper?

Well, technically, it will cause the same damage to the paper. it's too thin to build up a large exit wound. If you were talking about ballistic gel or a dear, then it would depend on how far away they are. As for which would do the most damage, would depend on how the bullet reacts. The 223/556 is designed to tumble when it hits a target. If it tumbles, then the 556 will cause more damage. If it goes straight, then the 223 will be more deadly because it will likely not exit as much as the 556. It's like running a needle into your arm. You do it slow, you feel it. If you do it fast, you don't. However, the faster route is more likely to cause more bruising due to the sudden impact.
