installing the audio wiring...

Hi,

greets, new user. this post at the risk of not search for something which might or might not exist....

I had a previous install which used the standard power, audio and remote wiring running the length of the car. that install got removed, and I still have the amp from that install (Alpine V-power sub amp). on some googles, I saw that some amps now have wireless switch on. now with my previous install, things like bluetooth and the wireless switch on didn't exist. I am wondering, given that features like wireless switch on now exist, do any current installs use bluetooth technology to take the audio wirelessly from the head unit to the amp in the boot?

I have a standard head unit in a Nissan Micra 18-reg (contains screen). I do still have to make the enquiry of whether or not there is a wiring loom for the head unit to extract audio and the remote connection.

The actual question is, using the Alpine V-power amp (2005 manufacture or something) is there such a thing as wireless remote switch on adapter, and can the audio be taken wirelessly (bluetooth?) from the head unit to this amp (which has standard wired terminals - so it would need a bluetooth adapter for audio input)

hope that makes sense. thanks in advance

One way is to use a BT Transmitter and Receiver. For this, your OEM radio must have an audio out 3.5mm jack. The remote signal can be done using an Add-a-Circuit fuse tap from the car's fuse block.

Check to see if there is a PAC harness ( )to fit your vehicle. You can visit their website to check. I used one of their harnessed that plugged into my factory harness and allowed me to accomplish what you are requiring. That was many years ago, so I'm sure that they have something for you. You can also contact Crutchfield.com. They have wonderful support services.

What about ignition? This turns the amp on. I don’t think there is a product like that. Turning the amp on and it turns on from outside the car. No. Head unit adapter? I don't think they made that to function like a sensor. Where's the ignition coming in? On start up with only the amp being on then. Then you'll turn the car on after you get in. No. No device like that. That will give just an added voltage into the amp. Shut down.

I used a butt connector and tape it to see if the #18 A.W.G wiring gauge wire with butt connectors work. Tape part is the butt connection. It works. I think that is a size D battery cell. light bulb. But the idea of this whole thing is the current on the wiring to the amplifier needs to be uniform and linear. And it has to come from another source, the battery. Car battery to make it on or work. Not a sensor. The amplifier shuts off when too much surge of voltage enters it at any moment in time.
