That's because, with all this access to information, people are too lazy to use it. Or, they will only research the info that will support their argument. After reading the book "He Said, She Said," I started researching info that would not support my argument. By doing so, it would cause me to learn both sides of the argument and find the actual truth. Sure, I have found some accusations to be true about Trump, but the ones against Biden and Kamala are much worse. It's all about picking the better of the two evils.

I gave up the "narratives" back in the 90s when Rush Limbaugh guaranteed electing Clinton would result in communism for the nation. Then I watched Clinton push for free trade, resist taxing/regulating the intrawebz, cut taxes and generally act like a Laissez-faire free market capitalist. Then I started scrutinizing the right as hard as I scrutinized the left and discovered the right was just as full of BS. The deception and self-deception has only increased since Clinton was POTUS. Now we have the right openly embracing conspiracy theories and the left has invented the concepts of "my truth" and "my lived experience."
