2009 Skoda Superb radio dead

Hi

I am having problems with my car radio. The thing is that when the main car battery is disconnected, the radio stops working completely. The first time that happened the previous owner went to the dealership and they fixed it by installing new software (I think). Now it has happened again but rather than going to the dealership and paying 250€, I’d try to get to the bottom of this myself (if it’s an easier fix). I read the trouble codes of the car and it seems that everything relating audio is absent (will not read these modules). Any help is much appreciated.

Unfortunately for you , a very large majority of the people on this forum are in the USA. We don’t have Skoda cars here.
I will say that the factory stereo is 14 years out of date and malfunctioning. I would look into replacing it with a modern aftermarket stereo.

Maybe when the battery is disconnected a fuse is blown?

You could try testing power wires for voltage. Can you get wiring diagrams? Do you know how the radio is connected / wired?
