So, the fast food industry is laying off a bunch of people on Sunday. A few people I know have already received notices. Some fast food joints are closing down. Fast food prices are expected to jump another 25% on top of what current increase was. I can't say we didn't see this coming.

Currently, the average burger is about $12. That means they will now be $15. Crazy!!! There are going to be a lot of carry-outs at regular restaurants.

I have always had alternatives to fast food places and because of the prices moving ever so further north, I visit the alternatives even more. It's usually similar prices or cheaper but better food.

Example. I like McDonalds fish sandwich. Now I will head up to Bibibop, have better food, be more full and enjoy the meal more for similar money.

They are at it again. They really don't want anyone to pay less than $3 a gallon for gas until election time. It takes weeks and weeks and weeks for it to start being reasonable then in one day BAM!!! +34¢ on the dollar.

The cost of food, as well as everything else, is affected by the cost of operations. The biggest pusher for that is wages and energy costs. 4 years ago, I was paying $1.10 for two tacos as Jack in the Box. I just bought some today, and it was $2.00 for two tacos. It made me cry.

They still have the 2 tacos for $.99 in Denver/Aurora Co.
