Before I’m questioned furthermore, the 10 posts limit is for ALL members, on a per forum basis. It's not per the entire site. No one needs to be posting over 10 posts per forum within that time span, unless they’re doing a back and forth of personal attacks, that isn’t allowed here And does not contribute in any way to the site. If a member repeatedly gets on your nerves, just block them, simple as that. No need for it to escalate.

I also heard mention of going to another competitor forum instead of this one. Does that forum even allow anything remotely close to what goes on in The Thunderdome? How is it better than what's provided here? I've asked these similar questions before, on how to make the site better, but received little feedback, just scorn if a change was made. It seems every attempt I make to better the site and stop the bickering among members backfires. Just trying to bring some insight on this matter.

I think the Thunderdome is a good place for this stuff to happen, and to STAY here. It's specifically NOT for audio discussion (though some sneaks in now and then).
The real problem is maybe the members who don't understand and can't handle the ballbreaking, take it outside of the 'dome, and make personal attacks in threads where people are just looking for help?
There are obviously two camps who hang out here and spar, and we all know who hangs on what side of the ring. I can't speak for the other guys, but I don't get butthurt by it and can compartmentalize just fine. Maybe the ones who exhibit a lack of self-control in the ring are the problem and can be dealt with?

Yeah, more work for the mods....

Pretty sure you even said you were pricing plane tickets for that party, lol You crack me up sometimes.

The guy who has "never" been smacked down is going to pay Bobby a visit when Bobby say's something about the sister we've heard plenty of stories about.

Let's face it, that nothing good ever comes of that and it only escalates. I've been told my several webmasters that political threads should not be allowed and are a "forum killer". Just putting that out there...

Kind of reinforces what I'm saying about it being contained in a purpose-built spot, but also yes to the escalation issue.
Maybe a 2nd strike and you are out rule.

ETA - And then we have the guy who will downvote every post from a person simply because he doesn't like the person, yet say the other person is the problem.

This...it's not the topics, it's certain people who want to argue with everyone. Debate and discussion is good, but there's always someone who takes it all too far, makes it personal, isn't straight forward with arguing. Ugh, we already know. Just sideways *** comments usually start these things and it's usually just 1 person, and it's sad it's not seen lol. Like everyone posting knows what's going on and it's one f*cking person who doesn't hardly know shit about car audio and comes on here to be an activist. If anyone can't see this, you're blind.

I mentioned the other forum specifically because to my knowledge, Rob is not there doing what he does here.

Why is everyone pussyfooting around???? Admin, the problem is we are all adults on the same forum yet one person ROBGMN is making it his job to fact check and talk down to everyone. He adds NOTHING but conflict to anything anyone post. It's never a discussion it's always "you are wrong" prove what you say to me.

Why is it everyone else can have civil conversations but as soon as Rob joins in the discussion turns to arguing. Coincidence? Not even close.

This isn't meant to be rude, I just want to make this point. If everyone ignores the problem simply by blocking that problem we aren't correcting the problem as that behavior will still continue. The only thing that happens is the people who aren't the problem have to make a change to accommodate the problem... But the problem still exist and will just move on to the next victim I mean person with an opinion.
