You sure seem smart enough to know that the "$1.89 a gallon" nonsense was based on a price that lasted for maybe a few days when a ton of money got dumped in the economy during the Bush administration.
And you sure seem smart enough to know that the current price of gas in real dollars is only20 cents higher than 5 years ago.

Inflation adjusted . It was a $1.89 a gallon before covid, I know it was cause I paid for it . It was around $2.20 most of the time in my area when trump was president. Way better then paying $3.77 or the time it went above $4 a gallon. Believe me I’m smart, smart enough to own 7 figures worth of real estate and drive cars that cost more than houses. I don’t care what an adjustment shows due to inflation, when the average person is struggling due to the prices of everything and it’s their number 1 concern, that is what counts not a chart

Buy high, sell low.

You buy when it’s down (the dips), sell when it rises (in q4), the problem with short selling is the tax rate. I’ve played enough in the stock market, I much prefer real estate. Way easier game to play it just takes money to do it

I loved it, I was paying 1.89 in my beater car, and around 2.30 ish for my other cars for 93. Heck I was even getting crazy as I have a gas station near one of my houses that has 100 octane. Would put that in the cars and my hayabusa. Good times, the price now doesn’t affect me but I know it does many others. Along with everything else. Fed will do another rate hike yet again. Many don’t understand that while this does control inflation it has other terrible effects.

Then you are smart enough to know that adjusting for inflation is a real thing, and that personal finances don’t adjust in real time as the economy changes.

But you never got gas at a rest stop because no rest stops exist that sell gas. Especially not in Florida.
