Well, I do that ALL the time. I grew up listening to NWA and 2 Live Crew. In my opinion these groups ARE where it started and my two favorite ways to entertain myself with rap music. I sing right along with 2 Live Crew's P.A.N. and don't think anything of it as well as NWA's 100 miles and runnin.

I think a better analogy would be a white guy singing David Allen Coe music and not the stuff played on the radio... I mean the really questionable stuff like "Cowboys and N***ers".
