I love hearing people say "Pre-Pandemic". I hear commercials on the radio talking about pre-pandemic pricing, news channels talking about cities the way they were pre-pandemic.

Pre-Pandemic is before Jan. 20, 2021 because that is when the pandemic started.

I thought it sounded suspect at first glance. However a quick google search confirms Walmart is closing stores in Portland. I'm pretty sure Portland has become a net emigration metro area. Unchecked crime doesn't help. Portland Metro has a high minimum wage too. I assume Walmart owns it's stores, so they'll probably net a tidy profit.

OTOH, that's from a google search and as we all know, getting info via google/the internet is considered worthless to many folks.

You do know that major news sources also share actual news on Twitter as well right? Reputable news isn't just from the places YOU deem credible.

Like any big business, they will keep a store open if it’s profitable. They’re not the (one of?) biggest employer in the world because they are bad at business.

But no, the Twitterverse has decided that BLM is at fault for the closings, so it becomes a fact reported here.

They're closing because of the stupid politics of portland/oregon...the loss from shoplifting has killed profits from those stores and the lack of police enforcement has made it dangerous in Portland in general
