So just to clarify, you seem to be saying nothing that happened on Jan 6th matters because ultimately, the gov't wasn't overthrown, Pence wasn't hung, Pelosi and AOC weren't dragged thru the streets by their hair, etc?

Look for the instigators that were in the capitol encouraging them to do those things and punish them. As I recall, Trump wasn't in the building saying any of that.
