I watched the video. He was talking specifically about the guy and an article he wrote which involved Trumps (debunked) claim of seeing people celebrating in the streets on 9/11.

Trump tried to deny it by saying he never met or knew the guy (debunked) and that he was imitating him "groveling". Why would he "grovel" when he stands behind the article he wrote?
And how did his physical actions represent someone "groveling", even if they were? They didn't.

Trump denied, so it makes my evaluation an opinion, but it is built on the circumstances. And those circumstances tell the story. One that contradicts his later claims.
