So, they send out blank ballots without making people prove their identity, but the identity must be proved before the ballot is counted?

That sounds like Best Buy hanging unloaded gift cards at the checkout and then making you load it before you can use it to buy something.

They absolutely can. There should be transparency on how they are "fixing" the failure to verify, and of how many letters get sent out when there is an ID error.

The details. It's a swing state so it could go either way. Either side could benefit.

We can't predict the future, but we sure can look at the past.
Regarding the "big steal", and what was found in a review of voter fraud in the battleground states by the Associated Press:
"An Associated Press review of every potential case of voter fraud in the six battleground states disputed by former President Donald Trump has found fewer than 475 - a number that would have made no difference in the 2020 presidential election.
Democrat Joe Biden won Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and their 79 Electoral College votes by a combined 311,257 votes out of 25.5 million ballots cast for president. The disputed ballots represent just 0.15% of his victory margin in those states.
The cases could not throw the outcome into question even if all the potentially fraudulent votes were for Biden, which they were not, and even if those ballots were actually counted, which in most cases they were not."

If the AP can do it, there is nothing preventing the GOP from conducting a similar investigation and review into this conspiracy theory. Hell, Trump himself could have funded it with donations he received for his "legal defense" that never were used for any legal defense.
And, what better way to support the "Big Steal" claim than to PROVE it?

Fraud attempts and achieved fraud are a reality. Is it widespread? Hardly. Is it enough to affect the outcome of an election? Only in the minds of people who can not accept that their party or their chosen candidate lost.

But the number mailed out is irrelevant to the big picture. It's the ones that came back with bad ID that were then fixed that matter.

The wording here is purposeful. It's drafted to indicate that 240,000 votes are being cast without ID being verified. This is not the case (spelling errors are due to the pdf being a scan of a scan).
"According to the DoS data, os of October 21,2022, a staggering 24O,OOO ballots ore "NOT VERIFIED". Thot is on enormous number of bollots which, occording to the low, must be set oside ond not counted for the 2022 Generol Eleciion unless the voter produces lD"
They are using the number of blank ballots mailed out without ID to be the number of CAST ballots that are accepted without ID.
They are two very different things and one is radically smaller than the other, but they want to to use the bigger number to create a narrative.

Yes, facts can help us predict the future. if the facts show that in the past there was so little fraud as to be inconsequential to the outcome, then we can expect it to be less in the future, since it is being looked at even more closely than it ever was in the past. More eyes = less error.
