Wouldn't it be really hard to say that this event will be completely forgotten in the future, whether it's the next wannabe cop or the next juror, the next judge, or even how a city prepares for (or avoids) the possibility of a future unrest?
This was a pretty big deal, if I correctly recall the furor it created.

Oh? Did the court decision stipulate that it cannot be referred to in future court cases?
Did they tell the public that they cannot view future evens through the lens of this event?
Did they tell the media that they can no longer refer tot he case in future reporting?

However, I'm still waiting for you to tell us about your extensive experience with OTR, short-haul, and local delivery options with regard to EVs. You know, the extensive experience you claim you used to evaluate the possibilities, and determined that Amazon, Rivian, Sysco, and Freightliner have all got it wrong...

Nope because that's a general definition...a legal precedent usually occurs when existing law is interpreted in a manner considered different from written law...none of that is applicable here...

It doesn't have to be. But it fits. The events have set a precedent. The court decision could also be used as a precedent.

A case doesn't have to have a decision that interprets law differently to be considered as a precedent in other cases decisions.
legal precedent is said to be:

• applied (if precedent is binding) / adopted (if precedent is persuasive), if the principles underpinning the previous decision are accordingly used to evaluate the issues of the subsequent case;
• distinguished, if the principles underpinning the previous decision are found specific to, or premised upon, certain factual scenarios, and not applied to the subsequent case because of the absence or material difference in the latter's facts;
• modified, if the same court on determination of the same case on order from a higher court modified one or more parts of the previous decision; or
• overruled, if the same or higher courts on appeal or determination of subsequent cases found the principles underpinning the previous decision erroneous in law or overtaken by new legislation or developments.

Hmmm, that seems to be Thx telling everyone to suuck diicks, and things about their mother, and Buck telling people to go kill themselves and that their mother is a wh0re, etc.

I fire back when fired upon. If it hurts you, then maybe tell them to stop with the attempted insults, and i won't have a reason to fire back.
I tried it with Thx once. he agreed. For about a day. As soon as i crushed one of his arguments with some facts, he went right back to his homophobia, thinking he was insulting me by telling me to suucck diicks.
It's his go-to whenever he can't fight with intellect.
