I am looking at monthly federal deficit numbers and it sure looks like comparing the numbers under Biden when he took office are higher than Trumps from the same months the year before.

This chart here seems to show it is getting worse under Biden.

You're not reading the chart correctly. What is shows is deficit numbers increase at a pretty predictable rate (as represented by the slope of the chart). The deficit jumped in 2019/20 due to Covid spending programs and has now returned to it's original rate.

I don't think Trump was confused. As a matter fact I'd say in many ways he was a genius. His polling spotted the weaknesses in the MSM polls. He found a way to court the white supremist vote without being overtly racist. That's huge for the GOP, it's like a 10% underground voter block.

The numbers show that the debt and deficit almost quadrupled under Trump, then both DROPPED in 2021.
