I didn't say we can stop it, but we do spend our entire lives to avoiding it. Seatbelts, airbags, surgeries, blood tests, physical exams, every vaccine but the Covid vaccine and on and on and on. If it makes you feel better to call it fear, then feel free to so.

Most people survive COVID, with or without a vaccine, so yeah, I’d call it fear for you. More people die of heart/cardiovascular disease than covid, but we don’t call a pandemic for the amount of fast food restaurants everywhere.

Why does the right take issue with it. Because the sky is indeed blue, but the election wasn't stolen. The vaccine is saving net lives, not costing them. I guess when time and time again the only facts you have on your side are the "alternate facts," you're left to question "why do they keep asking me for facts?!?!?!?"

They don't call it a pandemic because it isn't a pandemic. A pandemic means world wide. Obesity is an epidemic in the US. Globally, heart disease is considered an epidemic among poorer nations/people. Cancer also beat out Covid for # dead in 2021. The one thing all three have in common is that alot of resources go into identifying and treating all 3 illnesses, which makes sense for the number 1-3 killers of Americans. I assume years from now as Covid drops down the list, resources spent on Covid will also fall.

Toss a person off a building and watch what their body does.
They will not stop themselves from hitting the ground, but they’ll damn sure try to avoid it. Literally clutching at air to stop the fall.

And the fact that the anti-vax crowd was justifying their decision based on widespread disinformation campaigns led to the anti-vaxxers being asked for facts. Had the anti-vax crowd just left it at "I don't feel like and I don't give a flying damn if it benefits the greater society," you wouldn't have been asked for facts and proof. When the anti-vaxxers pull BS out of their @$$es, did they really expect not to be called on it???

So far it's working out pretty good. Are you suggesting I should stop getting physicals, stop eating healthy, stop exercising, cease using my seatbelt, pull the fuse on my airbags, take the batteries out of my fire detectors, etc.

I guess I'm part of the antivax crowd since I haven't been vaxed...my reasons were 3% mortality did warrant any extra precautions for myself...I honestly don't care what other people's choices are...
