When common sense rational adults talk about arming more Americans Bobby, we mean legal and lawfully. We do not mean arming 16 year old children. Again, you are being melodramatic.

Maybe if you want to be dictated on how to live... perhaps Canada? Russia? China? Maybe living in these places would be more appealing to you? If you are so passionate about these schools being shot up why don't you go pick one of these schools that are in a location likely to be targeted by some deranged would be shooter and stand guard, ready to protect our kids... with your gentile words and wishful thoughts of peaceful flowers and bunny wabbits. Maybe that will stop someone from killing... well killing the kids at least.

There were countless rifles and shotguns in gun racks in pickup trucks when I was in HS. Not a single shooting, anywhere in our 500,000 pop related to such. It was always some gang banger at a part after the fact.

But arming 18 year olds with as many AR-15's and rifles that they can afford is fine with you? We already arm 18 year olds. Why not lower the age to 16 or get rid of age limits altogether?

It won't solve somebody's mental issues but it would make it harder for them to go down the street and buy 2 AR-15's. Why do you want it to be so easy for mentally deranged 18-20 year olds to buy this type of mass killing weapon?

Right, so they will find some other weapon to kill with... are you going to raise the age to buy ANYTHING and EVERYTHING? Take away one option and they will just pick the next option. It was probably a gray area. Many kids hunted after school and no one brought them into the building.
Not quite, not trying to pick on inner city liberals who've never hunted or just gone plinking but it was pretty common back then. In a town of 500k, its not that big and you're no more than 20 minutes from a drive into the desert.

I mean, even to this day, many rural schools have shooting programs and for that there is protocol etc..

Really, the biggest question we should be asking, REGARDLESS of your stance or like of firearms, at what point in time/what changed were society and/or people thought killing was ok?
