The group of 15 people who stayed at a local restaurant for 6 1/2 hours. During which time they were annoyingly loud, messy, demanding, and.... performed 2 mock *** acts (BJ's) on each other. (There were young kids in the establishment whose parents were mortified) They then slammed multiple shots one after the other. After finish their meal and right before driving away drunk, they left a giant mess and a 12 dollar tip for their stressed out waiter.

An adult shouldn't be able to buy a rifle at his age? Where did he get that kind of money? Well, we are paying young people plenty of money to flip burgers... well over $15 per hour in some places... doesn't take long to save money.


So when do you think an adult should be a an adult? 18, 19, 20, 21, 25, 30 years old? Cause some lefties want them to be able to vote at 16, die for our country at 18 but not buy a rifle or drink until they are 21. Each of those ages fill a specific need for Democrats when they can get what they want.

If 18 is too young to buy a long arm then they shouldn't be in the military, vote, drive, make *** change decisions and so on.

Heck, the black supremist that ran over and killed people in WI used a car but how should that be legislated?

Who is telling you these things? Most Republicans and Democrats want these changes??? There are federal background checks already in place. There are age ranges already in place for specific reasons that I am sure none of you hair-dyed snowflake lefties can even comprehend when it comes to purchasing firearms.

First you all want to ban parts of these style rifles, then you want to ban them altogether, then you want to raise the age to buy them. Seems like they have no idea what they really want to do. Each of those things listed are talking points and have been puked out by the left to gain sympathy voters. That we DO know.

You think the gun was the problem. Nobody wants to know why this person made this choice, what set him off, why he was distraught enough to kill people. Do you know why? Because nobody cares. People are too wrapped up in their lives to care anymore. That is why we have no choice but to accept mass killings as part of our society. If an individual wants to cause either a single or mass casualty event they will find a way to do it without the use of guns. I've seen this first hand during my military travels. Countries that had "strict" gun laws in place were not immune.

My opinion is this: We need to target the groups of people who are causing these crimes and provide the resources to work with these groups in order to lower the crime rates. The data is readily available to the people with the power and resources to make it happen. Next, we need to change our culture, morals and values. A good place to start would be the entertainment business. Singing about violence, creating video games with violence and creating violent movies only "teaches" violence.

Additionally, let's start at home. Hold parents, grand parents, guardians and others whom are guiding our youth responsible and I'd bet things would begin to change for the better. Enforce jail time for offenders. Don't let people who commit crime "slide by" or reduce their time because they were a "good person" growing up. Do the crime, do the time. Also, let's teach people to follow rules and laws and respect the people who hold the job of enforcing them. Don't fight the enforcer when YOU get caught breaking the rules and laws. Be responsible for your actions. Don't blame racism or deflect your behavior.

Finally, when it comes to crime and violence ....if you see or hear something, SAY SOMETHING!

We can blame ani killing on a mental instability. Correct me if I'm wrong but under normal circumstances wanting to murder somebody because they didn't want to be your boyfriend or girlfriend or you were the class outcast requires a loss or mental stability.
What is worse as it was already noted below is that entertainment in all forms glorifies violence apparently the masses are too mentally weak to differentiate and they subsequently idolize that behavior.
Let's keep that one simple and think gangster rap.

As far as your hunting friends go, each state has its own regulations for magazine size.
In Texas there is no magazine limit for non-game varmint such as rabbits, hogs or invasive such as kudu. A 30 round magazine on a boar hunt isn't uncommon.

Again we the community needs to say something and be interactive when these things are going on how did his neighbors and friends know about his cat killing but nobody said anything.
That is a classic pre indicator to serial murder.

Any time you place restrictions on any of our rights it hurts everyone...because then there's precedent to restrict them again...then again...then again...then again...

I can see where you're coming from however I think some rights do need to be restricted. An example? You may have the right to drive a vehicle if you have a license/insurance etc... but your speed is restricted in a School Zone for reasons pertaining to safety. I guess its my simple way of saying common sense needs to be in play when and if a right needs to be restricted.

We don't have a right to drive a vehicle though, do the comparison kind of falls off...we have a right to travel but it isn't defined or implied which method of travel...the 2A explicitly states the right to bear arms...and that right isn't for hunting, sport, or home defense...it's to defend against tyrannical govt whether that govt is foreign (ie invasion) or domestic (ie our government)...that cleary shows the intent by the framers for citizens to have access to equal weaponry...at the drafting of the 2A anybody could own a cannon or any other piece of military hardware used in the revolution...people owned actual private warships that continental congress hire for the war effort...so I don't see how restrictions on gun ownership is in the spirit of our founding...

Maybe we shouldn't have any gun laws or background checks if nothing works. Maybe we should get rid of gun free zones if nothing works. Maybe we should arm all 16 year olds with guns for self defense. If more guns are the answer then let's go ahead and arm every kid in High School to make sure that everybody can defend themselves. Are you o.k. with everything that I mentioned?
