Except the Republicans were named Democrats during slavery, and vice-versa. The party names swapped, while the ideologies remained.
So, the party that is now Republicans opposed "laws that granted protections for Black Americans and advanced social justice (for example the Civil Rights Act of 1866".

I’m seeing some things that looks like Russia could have some US people trapped in Mariupol, but it’s hard to tell. Azov is like surrounded and Ukraine and seemingly others really want someone out of there that they can’t seem to get.

The “Azov brigade” in Mariupol is where the Ukrainian right wing nationalist have their base, the Ukrainian military division that flys the Nazi symbols. They claim they are not nazis, but are just Ukrainian nationalists. i think anyone who flys that symbol is an idiot, and for Ukraine to even allow them to march next to normal Ukrainian soldiers was stupid. Anyway, the Azov brigade has been fighting Russian separatists in Ukraine since 2015. Russian separatists mistook a Malaysia airline for a Ukrainian military transport and shot it down over Ukraine. Remember that news story? The Azov brigade killing and torturing Russians in eastern Ukraine has been allowed and helped by the Ukrainian government since the Malaysia flight went down. The government of Ukraine even made the nazi group “special police” so they could kill Russians. The Russians had to hit Mariupol (the nazi base) hard to stick with the narrative with Russian citizens who think Ukraine is full of nazi thugs who kill and torture Russians.

What a great choice that is.

The excellent point would be when I say you are gambling by voting for these Democrats. I know you do it because you say "economy is better under Democrats" but eventually you will vote for the wrong Democrats, like Biden and we will end up in a war where your profits won't mean jack squat.

I think a better game plan would be to take these profits, move them where they can earn some interest and vote Republican in the next election. When the republicans fix over seas relations, help lower the cost of fuel and "fuuck up" the economy you can then move those profits back to the markets and vote Dems back in so they can inflate everything and you can make even more profits. Wash, rise, repeat. Everybody wins.
