Why does my sub sound like this?

I have a DVC Rockford Fosgate P2 10 inch. It is being powered by a Kicker CX.400.1

Every time the bass hits, there's like a small rattle you can hear at the end of it. When I had the sub at an audio shop to adjust settings for my head unit, the worker said it sounded like a coil was out of phase. Is that why it sounds like that and how can I fix it?

Make sure both Voice coils are hooked up + to + and - to -

Out of phase coils would not move the cone or produce any bass. Try playing the sub free air, you may get a better idea where the issue is.
