Given your posts in the past, I don’t think it’s unreasonable for me to be dubious of the sincerity expressed, but I like to and try to give people the benefit of the doubt.

If moving forward you’d like to set aside the insults and argue strictly on facts, evidence, and the like, I have no problem with that. It’s how I have to do my job and I honestly prefer it, but I have no problem dishing back when I receive.
Thoughts?
I don't have a problem with arguing facts and what not when prudent to do so. However, if it is your job and you get paid to do it... why do it so much for free? It creates tension on here the way it is done sometimes. I am cool with civil debates if you are. 🎾

No bull: I actually enjoy it because I learn a lot in doing it. Information sticks better in my head when I’m “fired up” and exposed to new stuff.
Think about a fight with an ex: you probably remember ever detail. Think about a casual chat about “life” with an ex: you probably can’t pinpoint a specific one.
If I learn something and then use it in argument, it’s probably permanently etched in my head.

I’ll say I’m confused a bit about the tension, though. Two men enter; one man leaves.
That should be THE place for tension.

But I’m flexible. Civil debate? Bring it on!

I understand where you are coming from if you are willing to concede that not everyone retains information that way though. However, now I know what or why rather, why you do it. I think conversations will be easier.

Anyone mentioned the new OSHA policies yet? Applies to companies with more than 100 employees.

Non-vaccinated employees have to wear a mask 100% of the time when inside buildings/vehicles with other people (unless they are alone in a closed room).

The big thing is that weekly testing is required for work eligibility. You have to have a test every week and have it come back negative. They're just trying to make things inconvenient enough for people "on the fence" to sway them to get vaccinated.

I got the J&J shot and it made me sicker than shit for a bit. I just hope they don't require boosters soon.

Employers not enforcing this OSHA standard will be fined. Luckily, employers can only be fined for their employees in non-compliance. This is good, because part of my job is enforcing OSHA stuff on job sites, and it's my ass that'll get chewed if we get fined. Our guys are pretty good, but it would suck if we were responsible for all the subs' compliance.

100% agree with OSHA

I can only imagine the strain on the test processing infrastructure that's in place right now. Healthy people showing no symptoms will have to get tested every week, making it take longer for tests to get processed for everyone. My workplace is providing free test kits for employees. I'm not sure if all companies do. That'll be expensive for lower income workers who seriously object to getting vaccinated.

Your last two post have been mostly factually inaccurate. Please try again.

It went to the supreme court today.

“In the new study, the researchers created a “pseudovirus” that was surrounded by SARS-CoV-2 classic crown of spike proteins, but did not contain any actual virus. Exposure to this pseudovirus resulted in damage to the lungs and arteries of an animal model—proving that the spike protein alone was enough to cause disease. Tissue samples showed inflammation in endothelial cells lining the pulmonary artery walls.

The team then replicated this process in the lab, exposing healthy endothelial cells (which line arteries) to the spike protein. They showed that the spike protein damaged the cells by binding ACE2. This binding disrupted ACE2’s molecular signaling to mitochondria (organelles that generate energy for cells), causing the mitochondria to become damaged and fragmented.”

We already have to wear mask all day, everyday at work. They can test me all they want. It's an inconvenience to them, not me. If they then have to "keep me out of the workplace" they can continue to pay me as they did when they made me stay home when my roommate had COVID over the week up to and just past Christmas.

Since so many left leaning people seem to think what the government is doing and demanding too and of us and you all think the economy is doing so well and that these TRILLIONS of dollars the government will spend is just peachy keen with you then I have no problem taking that money if I am forced to stay home.

Of course they could just focus on a vaccine that actually works instead of one needing continuous boosters. But where is the money in wiping out COVID... right? How are government officials who continue to make policy going to continue to pick just the right investments just before policy is made and continue to make millions if they actually get rid of COVID.

Hey if you people are dumb enough to allow it I will be happy to take the taxes from your higher income to pay me to stay home. After all, what do you all care, you're winning!!!

Here is a hole in the forced vaccination argument. The government wants to force companies to to be responsible for their employees getting vaccinated through the use of blackmail (Get vaccinated or you don't have a job) or the government will fine companies. Employees must be forced to wear a mask while at work. So who are we protecting? Because as I said before, I deal with hundreds of people every day. Am I protecting these people? The reason I ask is because 90+% of people walking through the doors of the company I work for are not wearing mask. They come in coughing and sneezing all day long while maskless. So who is regulating these people?

Very soon anything the government can control or manipulate will require vaccinations.

EBT
Medicare/Medicaid
Any kind of government assistance
ALL businesses (example: that companies employees aren't vaccinated so they will pay much higher taxes)
The ability to get a drivers license (Because the ability to drive is not a right it is a government privilege)
The ability to attend public schools
Any public function

How long before you have to swipe a vaccine card showing proof of vaccination before you can legally enter a grocery store? Think it can't or won't happen??

Prediction: Most people will choose to work from home and order everything thing they need which will be delivered in electric cars and trucks. How long before the oil company executives order bullets for policy makers. Think it can't or won't happen??

I can't wait for the 2024 elections so we can get some sanity back.
