Then it may be that your understanding (or lack thereof) of words is causing poor communication. When you say "I am sure" you are expressing "confidence in what one thinks or knows; having no doubt that one is right" If you are not confident or do not really know, then you are not sure.
This is not me "interpreting your words". It is YOU using your words incorrectly, and thinking others will understand what your mind is thinking and trying to convey.
If you're not sure, just say "I think" or "I feel". Those words convey that you don't really know, or haven't fully evaluated your position.

You are familiar with the list because you said you are sure it is fabricated. IF you don't know about the list and have never seen it, HOW could you be "sure" it is fabricated? That's like writing a movie review without ever seeing the movie (yes, movie reviewers have been busted for that).
I could present a bunch of lies from the list, but I am confident you would say that I was fabricating THAT subset, or that i only picked out the lies I had already verified. I was asking YOU to to a random pick so that it would be fair and no claims of my bias could be made.

That would be best answered by those who did it. I am not part of the "we", but I suspect it had something to do with maintaining control.

In the corporate world, bad bosses keep information secret because they think it helps them maintain power. Do you know part of the reason the Japanese auto manufacturers kicked our butts so badly? They let even the lowest--pay-grade worker have a say in the business process.
Those workers effected change that a top-level executive would never even have thought of.

We'll consider the people who pushed for undereducation as really bad bosses, contributing to a country that would probably be better otherwise.

Words are very important. If you do not know the meaning of a word you use with any regularity, then you should use words you understand. You’ve moved past the point I was trying to make, but you have a good grasp on the concept. It works a bit different when trying to control a whole society than a corporation though. The control of information is the number 1 priority of our political parties. Arrogant people who are bolstered by anger or fear will push an agenda without ever really even paying attention to the means by which that agenda is being pushed. It doesn’t take a stupid person to follow a rotten agenda. It takes an arrogant one.

I’m sure it can be counted to look any way you want probably. I’m sure they counted things he said in campaign speeches 86 times as a lie, even though it was the same exact phrase. Here is what I do know. When I listened to Trump speak I would just cringe at how arrogant his mannerisms were. I would cringe when he would exaggerate the truth. I would cringe when he called people names and mocked them (even though it was absolutely hilarious). I cringed when he marched corporate leaders into his political campaigns and administration. He kind of wants to be hated on purpose. He feeds off it I think, much like some sports players feed of negative crowd energy at away games. I think Donald Trump is an interesting character in pop culture and Hollywood, I think he was a horrible president.
