A suspension lift incorporates stiffer suspension to accommodate the higher center of gravity. A body lift raises the center of gravity while keeping the softer suspension intended for the lower center of gravity.

If you just change control arms, shackles, or spring perches, that has nothing to do with suspension stiffness.

A silverado "suspension" lift kit does not change stiffness. It has leaf springs and torsion bars... Neither of which are changed..

Changing spring perch placement is not an ideal suspension lift, but it does at least raise the suspension the same amount as the body, which is still superior to a body lift for the reasons I mentioned above.
