It is kind of odd with the money (and waste) we spend on military without any questions, we have to cut budgets for schools, national parks and monuments, social services, etc.
Priorities...

Perhaps we should cut military spending and weaken our armed forces in the face of aggressive communist countries. At the point after we get taken over the budget for schools, national parks and monuments, social services and whatever won't matter.

Or we can spend more wisely and efficiently. Hundreds of millions of dollars on hardware that just goes into permanent storage, only to be bought again when needed?
Not a whole lot of sense in that.
Had friends and family deployed for years overseas. The stories of waste they could share would make your nostrils flare up.
