Planes, trains, and automobiles

Car this is tree, now get along...,nevermind
When I was younger my father owned a Ford dealership
On one side of it was a fenced in compound for cars that had been in accidents and were towed there to wait for the insurance adjuster to come view it
When I was 12 or 13 I was washing cars on the lot for the summer and this old 84 or so ford escort came in one night
Who ever it was didn't wear a seat belt and went into the windshield
They left most of their scalp in the windshield, it was a big chunk
Big enough that even at 12 I knew there was no way they lived
That car sat there for 2 weeks in Ontario in the summer, by the second week you could smell it
Seeing the spider web cracks in that windshield instantly brought me back to that

Yep, I've seen similar. A friend of mine was in a head on collision way out in the country one night years ago. My dad and I went out to the scene a few hours later when we heard about it and it was total carnage. The bodies were gone but the cars where still there and blood and brains where everywhere. Everyone, four people, died. I used to have pictures, not sure where they are, probably in the attic.

I saw too much of that kind of stuff when I was a FF'er/EMT an hour south of Chicago. Seen enough to last 2 or 3 lifetimes. My 1st accident I was on was an accident where the person hit the guard rail went through it down a hill with the driver through the windshield, women passenger to the back window and the guy in back went to the front window and smashed the other side. By the time we were done 4 hours later all of us were covered in brain matter, blood, guts you name it. Sadly I saw a lot more accidents like that after that one. People being cut out of cars, people having to be medevac'd out. Not something any family member wants or should witness.

What's crazy is that I once was in a wreck myself where I rolled a car several times and then it flipped end over end several times. I didn't have a seat belt on and came out without a scratch. I remember to this day "floating" inside the car as it spun around me in what felt like slow motion. A couple of days later I went to see the car and it literally looked like it had come out of a crusher. Still blows my mind that I didn't die in the crash.

I had a 94 Ford Probe GT
I was probably to young for that car but man I loved it
I was coming home late one night going way to fast and this jeep YJ pulled out in front of me
There was a car coming the other way and a big ditch on the other side so I slammed on the brakes and waited
Time seems to go so slow when shit like happens
Anyway I slammed into the back of it and I was still moving pretty good
It had a tow bar and a trailer hitch on the back
The Probe is really low in the front so I went underneath him
That tow bar took my lights out (flip up lights) sheared the top of the engine off came through the windshield and stopped just before the steering wheel
Thank God for airbags
I was not wearing my seat belt
My car-write off
Jeep- Put it in 4x4 and drove off my car and home
All I did was mess up the tow bar
