I also don't get why all the slack jawed Midwest conservatives don't want to raise taxes on the super rich. They barely pay anything in relevance to what most people pay. Hell most of them are even Democrats.

Actually majority of Midwest people regardless of voting GOP or Democrat want higher taxes on the rich and corporations as we are tired of them either paying zero in taxes or paying very little at all.

Give you an example...Here in this state there is a BIG call for Medical Marijuana to be passed. State Budget from Evers had it Fully Legalized. The State Senate leader a Republican came out and said publicly "I know the people want it, I know there is overwhelming support across the state for it regardless if you vote GOP or Democrat. HOWEVER unless we make it a REPUBLICAN Bill with REPUBLICAN VOTES supporting it I will not anything to do with it up for a vote." Mind he HIMSELF is in favor of it! All he needs is 5 Republicans to vote yes and he has that 5 including HIM! But unless it is a Majority Republican Vote so they can say "Hey it was us not Evers Not the Democrats who gave you legal or medical marijuana!" Otherwise it would come up for a vote right now.

This is what is happening in Midwest states. Both sides pull this crap and it drives all of us crazy. Even if the people want it they have said multiple times it doesn't matter. Yet these idiots keep getting elected regardless of state. This guy just got elected again so no hope of him going anywhere and I need Medical Marijuana! I need it badly but can't get it thankfully CBD with Delta 8 is legal here thanks to the farm bill.

Taxing the super rich... Well if you tax the hell out of the super rich, you know, the ones who own all the shit? They get upset that they are netting less money. To level it out for themselves the trickle down effect kicks in and people under them start getting fired, they make deals elsewhere like in China where they can get things cheaper, they sell parts of their companies, managers get fired, employees get "let go", they charge more money for crappier products from the new deals with China like suppliers. Shit runs downhill.... all the way to the bottom and when it hits the bottom guess what, it piles up. So yeah, taxing the rich phucks everyone.

What people like him and some over at DIYMA don't seem to understand is, that Facebook & Twitter are privately owned businesses. Just like some at DIYMA throw a fit over people being banned or topics in the Off Topic area being removed as well. Well as a private business they can do what they want on their platform. 1st amendment rights don't apply to privately owned businesses. Just like when bakery companies that are refusing to do gay themed cakes or anything related to it they can refuse based on either it being a private business or religious beliefs. So when a court rules in favor of that bakery they are all for it but if they are banned for saying something that is against the rules of either business, platform or forum they throw a fit and scream 1st Amendment Rights and that they are censoring them....WRONG!

Been proven in a court of law that any business and DIYMA & many forums like this one are considered private business. So they can run it how they want with the rules they want to enforce. Just like with a mask just because say the mask mandate in the state is no longer in effect a private business can tell you no entrance without one and if they still refuse to put one on a police officer can remove them from that store if they still refuse after being informed again of that.

It’s not legal in Texas but we still smoke pretty often . Texas seems to be trying to get casinos now so I’m hoping if that goes through then weed will follow.
