This is what the constitution and bill of rights and declaration of independence are for. We need to return to respecting those documents and forcing our gov to as well.

You just made every person that read that dumber. How do you extrapolate that me supporting our founding documents means that I think black people are less than anyone? Wtf are you talking about? I'm talking about individual rights. You know, right to freedom of speech, arms, property, privacy, etc. Are you even a real person? You know there's a LOT of black people that support the founding documents? No, you probably don't, but many people do. You aren't trying to find a solution to anything, all you want to do is argue. That's all you want to do dude, and you absolutely **** at it on top of that. The government is out of control and those 3 documents I mentioned are the rights that we have that are supposed to keep the government in check. But no, you just throw some trash garbage in there because you don't have any real argument or ideology, you just want to be right or argue about something. Normal Americans have to take the gov back from corporations so that the gov actually works for the people again, and we follow the rights that made us the nation everyone wanted to come to.

Pretty sure there have been amendments to these documents since they were first written. You know, to change with the times as needed.

So, if we have amended parts of those documents, then, why can't we amend the 2nd amendment? Go read the third verse of our National Anthem where it talks about killing slaves (blacks). But, most white people like to avoid any discussion about that part of American history.

No, blacks were slaves. What white people are you talking about? Everybody gets taught about black slavery in school, that's not hidden. You're full of poo. A very small percentage of whites owned slaves. Others were slaves as well. That's all been changed. If every nation that's owned slaves is bad, then the whole earth is bad. If you're so concerned about black slavery, become a soldier and go fight in Libya where Obama and Hillary screwed over Gaddafi and got him killed, so now blacks are being sold on auction blocks to bidders. I would like to at least see a rational discussion between both parties to address all the gun violence. But, the Republicans would never even consider having a discussion on the topic. They just say 2nd amendment and the discussion is over. I would like to see better background checks to keep guns out of people's hands who are mentally not responsible enough to own assault rifles, 100 round magazines, and bump stocks. You might have a little different opinion if you've ever been involved in a public shooting. I've personally been involved in three of them.

Nvm. This is never ending. Idk want you want people to do. Guns aren't going away, it's illegal to kill people already. Best thing to do is literally restore the country's proper operating system so that people have happy lives. People are going to kill no matter what. If it's not a shooting, it's a stabbing. 100% guarantee you that if guns are illegal, then mass shootings increase.

You don’t even know what you’re talking about. It was called the 3/5 compromise. Back then a slave owner could vote for his slaves giving him a huge advantage over non-slave owners votes. So the 3/5 compromise was an attempt to take the power to vote for slavery away from the slaveowners.

Two of the three times, there were multiple shooters, and they got away. The third time was in a Ross store and he ended up in a shootout with the cops and was shot and arrested.

I live in Illinois. We have a state-mandated FOID card that is required for the purchase of any gun and any ammunition and adjacent states also require residents produce the required identification to purchase firearms or ammunition. You also cannot buy guns or ammunition online because any IL address requires you submit a photo of your driver's license and your FOID card and those addresses have to match the shipping address. Getting a FOID card includes a background check and takes months to get approval. Buying a firearm requires another background check and you can wait as long as the state police want you to wait before giving approval... even with prior checks and a FOID card. Within our state, we have Chicago. In Chicago, on any given weekend, 10 to 50 people are shot by illegal firearms... with illegal bullets. Because gun laws only affect law abiding citizens trying to defend themselves.

Crazy, right? People ok with murder aren't phased with lesser misdemeanors or felonies. People ok with murder buy guns illegally. Gun laws protect criminals. Gun laws keep guns out of law abiding citizens and embolden criminals... because criminals don't really seem to care about laws.

Ladders kill more people annually than "mass shootings". Water kills many more people. Guns, when used for self defense, save an estimated 600,000 lives, annually, minimum (per FBI) and that's just documented cases. The threat of a firearm or the brandishing of a firearm save millions of lives a year.

Also ironic, gun laws are only enforced by other people with... can you guess? candles... no... harsh language.... wait... maybe virtue signaling.... no... you guessed it... scary looking guns. So we use guns to take away guns from people that aren't actually hurting anyone so people that break laws intentionally with illegal guns can hurt people without guns. That is leftist logic. And the people passing gun laws are... protected by... people with... scary looking guns.
