Can an 18 be accurate

I'm planning an eventual rebuild on my Geo storm's sound system consisting of a power upgrade with a second alt and battery so I can eventually get bigger amps. But my main question is would an 18 be accurate/musical enough for normal listening as I drive the car as much as possible and don't always just want rediculous bass. The sub in question would be a dayton ultimax running of a pioneer 9701 @1200w rms in a sealed box(because of accuracy and obvious space constraints), and I plan on upgrading my mids and highs to timpano slim 10"s paired with super tweets for the rear channel, and Audio Legion MR8F (8" coax horns) for the front which will run off of my pioneer 8704 @ around 150w per channel. Also the sub box and 10" mids would be where my back seat is currently for those wonder how tf I plan on fitting an 18 in this thing.
+BUILD UPDATE
I finally found some period correct boyds for it

I remember those cars. I think they were also sold as Asuna Sunfires.

Why not do 2x 10s or 12s ported?
They were indeed (I'm pretty sure it was only the pop-up headlight ones though)

But simply, I just like the wow factor/look that seeing an 18 through the hatch will provide, however my back up idea is to get a fosgate p3d2 10" to pair with my current p3d4 (which should be powered @about 1kw @1.3ohms) and this is part of me trying to see which ones more worth it

My original 2005 RE XXX 18 dual 2 is a highly accurate sub ... im probably gonna sell it ..

I can't imagine you have enough space in there to build an adequate box for a single 18 but perhaps there's more cargo area than it looks.

You seem to have some misconceptions about how subwoofers work. You should give this a quick read. It is very worthwhile.

Honestly 90% sure that was the case all along I've just had multiple me tell me the smaller woofer=more accurate myth so I wanted to absolutely confirm before pulling the trigger on an 18. Also in terms of airspace, I still gotta measure once I remove the back seat but just from some rough estimates I should have ample space for the recommended 4cubes for a sealed enclosure without having to wall it off.

You would want 6.5 cubes sealed for that 18, IMO. With a ton of bracing, sub displacement and 1.5 inch thick baffle, probably closer to 7.5-8 cubes. If you only have 4 cubes, the 15 inch ultimax is a better choice.

The 18 I had worked great in a smaller ported alignment, 5.25ft3 net. That was with an aero that had 4.5" of the port external and it still was close to 7ft3 gross.
I had 2 different 18's and swapped them back and forth in the same enclosure (daily, comp) while changing tunings.
I wouldn't run sealed myself and haven't done so in decades.

She was musical, loud too... the Resilient Platinum liked that smaller airspace. The FI Bl just got loud when tuned to peak at cabin freq.
A Geo Storm?.. I'd love to TRY to fit an 18 in there but a smaller sub might be your best bet.

I would assume they are pretty accurate as long as they are directly tied into the clip circuit on the amp. Having said that, the signal traveling...

You have to know the signs for winisd. IMO, it really comes down to knowing what you’re doing. Some woofers don’t model well in winisd, at all.
