The type s is different now than when I used them. The sws-12 used to be 300 watts rms. The newer s-w12 is now a higher rms than it once was I see. The type R used to be one of the best bang for buck subs on the market, but I hear that they are not what they used to be.

Although i do want good sound quality, most of the rap i listen to I just want to be able to have the 808s boomin'. So loudness and durability, while still retaining some decent quality

Well the TNT 15 may be higher wattage. There's the XFL you may check out. Everybody is really hot on the SSA subs right now, Icon's in particular. They're sick subs for sure. Maybe find some used Sa's or maybe look at Fi SSD's, maybe start a new thread and just put in the beginning:

I have XXXX amount of power
I want either XX size or XX size

What are the best deals for my requirements that are still quality woofers?

Funny enough, check out ssa if they're on there. Any sub is gonna cost to ship man, they weigh a bit.
