The price and options as well as the look of the Fi appeal to me. I could literally drop it in my box, bring my amp down to 1ohm and send the 1200w right to that sub. It bothers me that I am running this amp at 2ohms when it will put out so much more power at 1.

Why not? My HD15D2 hits a pretty good number for 1-15". A team Fi guy actually tuned it for like 5 minutes and was impressed. He was surprised. And, he was running a team Fi 18". He could've justbeen blowing smoke though. Who knows. My VFL8's, XFL12's, and even the XD8's impressed me. What have you been running?

I just don't like the "look" of the AB sub. It looks too.... Busy? I have been running a single RF P3D4 10." Impressive for what it is. Before that a P2D2 12" that my sister melted the coil in and just before that two JBL P1224 and those slammed hard!!

I have never heard one in person, but I have an issue with a company called "American Bass" whose subs say "Made in China".

I don't see "American" in either of those brand names. I don't care where something is made (though i prefer to buy American products when possible), but i do have an issue with companies who deliberately mislead consumers.

I hear ya. I'm not naive enough to think just because it says American Bass that it is made in America. No worries, they are pretty good subs though. Maybe, they are just promoting that they are American owned. They can take a beating.

Does anybody know if he was born in America, or, a current citizen? I don't care where the sub is made as long as it does what I need it to do. I'm not buying the argument that the AB name is a ploy to deceive buyers.
