Hello all //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

As you can probably imagine, I'm a noobie, before I go ahead and install this new system I'd like to make sure it should work without blowing up.

I got 2 x 12" Sony XS-GTX121L 1000W Details :

1000 W Maximum music power

300 W RMS power handling

Single 4 ohms heat-resistant voice coil

Rated Input Power: 300W

Frequency Response: 32Hz-1000Hz

Compact design for Installation flexibility

Polypropylene Cone

Diaphragm material PP

Barium Ferrite Manget

Stroke stabilizer

5-sided Polypropylene cone for lower distortion and deeper bass

And my amplifier :

Juice JA794 - Illuminated Series 4 Channel 1500W Amplifier. Details :

Max Power Output Ratings:

Total Max Power: 1500W

RMS Power Ratings:

Per Channel into 4ohms, 14.4V (≤1%THD+N): 60W RMS x 4

Per Channel into 2ohms, 14.4V (≤1%THD+N): 85W RMS x 4

Bridged into 1ohms, 14.4V (≤1%THD+N): 170W RMS x 2

General:

Input Sensitivity: 0.2V - 6V

Frequency Response: 10Hz - 45KHz

Low Pass: 50Hz - 250Hz

High Pass: 80Hz

Bass Boost: 0-12dB

I've done a little bit of research to find what I need so...Am I correct in thinking the amplifier is not powerful enough? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Thank you in advance! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Your trying to run woofers with an amp ment for door speakers... It will make some noise but not very much lol get a nice mono block amp
Dang it. I should have figured it wouldn't turn out like I planned:( Guess I'll have to try and sell this amp to get an actual Subwoofer amp and not a speaker amp.

What I'll be looking for is an amp that is mono amp that has at least 300W RMS Per Channel into 2ohms, is that correct? If not can you advise me on what I should be looking for. I would really appreciate it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Just get a simple Mono-Block amp. You dont need a multiple channel amp. How much are you looking to spend

Mono block means only 1ch... But u need to know what ohm woofers you have so you know what kind of amp to buy. Most 2ch amps are 2ohm stable per channel... Most mono amps are 1ohm stable

Budget isn't too much of an issue in all fairness, all I want to do is get the right amp and cheap as possible though. So whatever is cheapest but reliable and is sure to work with my 2 subs I'll be happy. If you can link me to some or explain what I need to look for then I can do the shopping //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Thanks for your reply.

How would I figure out what Ohms my subwoofers are? It doesn't seem to tell me anywhere on the boxes D:

It says : "Single 4 Ω heat-resistant voice coil". Does that mean they are 4 Ohms?

Using a dmm on the woofer... But from the specs u listed you have single 4ohm woofers... So you want a mono block that makes power at 2ohm

Oh okay I think I understand Would that mean I would require:

Mono block amp 600RMS @ 2ohms because there's 2 subs? If it was just the one sub then it'll be a mono block 300RMS @ 4ohms because everything gets halved?

Sorry for so many questions, just trying to clearly understand it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

i mean honestly with those subs, this amp would do fine running at 2 ohm.
