i have to agree with the sql guys. even using jim's concert example, as already pointed out, if that's the basis for sq, then skull shaking bass is indeed needed. at least at every concert i've been too. i agree sql is a term that is needed as there are woofers that sound good, but don't get loud, in relative comparison to woofers that get insanely loud, yet don't sound very good and then those subs, like the mag and Q, that do both very well.
but it's another argument just like which is better, mag or Q. they both are equally as good when comparing the overall picture, depending upon one's install. sql is a nice blanket term that covers all the bases. some will like it, others won't. neither is right or wrong, it's an opinion.
