Worth installing the amp or not

To start, I'm not interested in anyones opinions on Skar as a company.

I have a pair of Tx65 Skar 6.5" speakers to put in the front doors of my f150. I also have adapters to go from 6x8 to 6.5 . My question is should I run these off my Kenwood Excelon 697 HU or is it worth installing my Memphis PRX 2.50 to run them.

I've honostly never had speakers this cheap and I don't know if it would be overkill or not.

Extra volume is great but 1 of the biggest reasons to use amp on speakers is to have a decent hp xover, just adjust xover down until speakers start to distort then u know where to set it., u get more volume less distortion. extra power actually prevents speakers blowing if it's clean., many guys on here like kr15 run 3000 watts to 8's, 10's or 12's!!, read his signature.

its not always about the volume. More power increases dynamics and brings out clarity and detail more than anything. Thats why SQ people want the most clean power for their setups even though they arent competing in spl, they are running just as much power as guys in SPL are.

Anything worth getting is always worth it more at a steep discount. Not familiar with that unit, but the brand is great.

Absolutely not!!! Acetone eats everything it touches other than metal that is.. there is a reason it comes in metal containers with metal caps...

It is more like 450 @ 3 Ohms at 14.4v.
