What i have are some rare old school rockford fosgate 18" xlc punches rfp 2818 8ohms. i bought them from a pawnshop not to long ago. If anyone knows anything about them please share. I know their 8ohms dont know how many watts or rms they can handle. Also, looking for the best way to wire them up in my car. It would be nice to know the value of them as well. couldnt find any info even called rockford fosgate their advice was to look online because they dont have any info. They came out in 1999.

Not trying to be mean at all but that amplifier is junk. I would not put an amplifier like that on those speakers. I would be looking for a quality 2 channel amp or a small Mono Amplifier what does max power at 2 ohms.

No you're right! I know its garbage but i didnt have an amp when i bought the subs. i ended up getting that one for free. I dont know a lot about amps and subs and their quality. I kinda know the basics. I appreciate all the help i can get. I wanna keep these 18's i have ant not have them blown or malfunction from a knockoff amp or not wired correctly. Which amp do you recommened like your personal choice for them? I dont mind not having a system installed until i can afford a decent amp. Also, what size wiring kit do you prefer i should use?

Another question for you these 18's i have are they worth trying to sell or just keeping them? A lot of people tell me they were the last subwoofers made before the square subs came out. That these 18s can perform like squares as bass wise. Is that true?
