Fiberglassing Help

Recommended Posts

Well i have just started my first fiberglass job :veryhapp: so far its been fun cause i like doing new projects. Any way my question is, even if my matt is overlapped should i/ is it normal to do 2 layers. I am REPLACING the kick panel not just adding a speaker enclosure so it needs to be sturdy. I dont know how hard it gets etc but i was wondering if 2 is needed or if one will do fine ill have pics after a while

2/3 layers should be fine for panels that dont hold speakers.

fiberglass forums does a good job of answering this.. in essence...if you can push it in with your thumb (make it flex with that lil pressure) then you need to add more
