I was just wondering if it's nornal that this amp gets really really hot to where you can't even touch it? Even if I'm not running the sub or have the gains all the way down it still gets extremely hot.

What ohm load?

EDIT: One time I left the amp on coming back from a competition, had the subs off, but the amp was still on and it was HOT when I got back to the house and realized that I had left it on.

BTW, the amp was @ 1 ohm.

The KX2500.1 and the ZX2500.1 that i had got warm, not hot, the KX will get hot after i push it hard for about 1-2hours

A shop did install it for me, so I'm going to make sure they wired it at 2ohms. On a good note, if it turns out that it was running at .5ohms then I know it'll handle it for atleast an hour without a super strong electrical.
