ZX2500.1 vs Memphis 4kw

Well?

Explorer will be gone by the end of the week, and i will be getting an extended cab truck (most likely a silverado)

so, i want to sell my 15" type-r's ( i think) and get some crazy 10's that will fit under the rear seat (assuming i can get around 1.25-1.5ct ft per sub for ported box).

So, i would like to get some 10" Fi BL's or BTL's, depending how the commercial fishing season is this summer, but im not sure where i should go on the amp.

I hear the zx2500.1 is underrrated and SUPER efficient, but the memphis 4k i hear is pretty solid too, and not much more expensive.

need opinions!

When thinking of the ZX2500.1, the word efficency doesn't come to mind.

Same with the 4kw.It takes power to make power.

The 4kw will out-do the ZX in power. The most power you'll probably see out of the 2500 is 2600-3000, depending on your electrical system and the amp (the birthsheets usually fluxuate by a few hundred).

The 4kw will out-do the ZX in power. The most power you'll probably see out of the 2500 is 2600-3000, depending on your electrical system and the amp (the birthsheets usually fluxuate by a few hundred).

my electrical will probably be 140amp alternator, big 3, yellowtop up front, and a kinetik2400 stashed somewhere in the rear. i figured the kicker would be able to run find off that, but im not sure about the memphis

i would do the zx 2500

and get some RE 10's

that memphis amp just loves the current and kicker does but not as bad and both of the amp's are underrated so i would say get (2) fi btl 10's and put around 1800 watts on each subs cause the kicker will more than likely put out around 2700 to 2800

I have an optima blue top under the hood, deka intimidator in the back, 4 runs of 1/0, the big "1" (for now lol), and a stock 130A alt.I run 2 HK4000D's, and the voltage will hang around 12v at full tilt if I keep the engine revved up to 2k rpm.If I don't keep it at 2k rpm the amps will cut out (protection circuit).

So, under normal circumstances, I think you'll be fine with 2 batts. and 1 one of those amps.
