zx1000 or zx1500

Im ordering my 2 kicker cvx12's today but i was wondering which amp would be better the zx1000 or the zx1500? Im afraid if i go with the 1000 it might be slightly underpowered, but is it really worth the extra 150 dollars for the 1500? what do you guys think?

big battery, big 3, HO alternator, 1/0 wiring, an extra smaller (or big) battery.

I plan on getting a second battery, and i have good wireing, but i didnt plan on adding another battery.. is another battery needed or would it be fine without? If i got the 1500 wouldnt i need to upgrade the battery anyways? Would the zx1000 do fine without upgrading? Sorry for all the questions but im not about to spend some my money on something that doesnt get the job done.

If you get 1 good battery up front, and do the big 3, and you do not have

a really light duty OEM alternator (what vehicle is it btw), you should be fine

on the zx1000. What battery (or batteries) where you looking at?

i meant to say i plan on getting a new battery, but dont plan on getting a second one. Its an 03 f-150 super crew stock alternator im pretty sure. But i didnt really have a battery in mind yet.. Optimas good? What would you recomend.

look at the big 3 sticky in this area of the forum. Also do lots of researching there

It's hard to say with an f150, depending on the engine and options, you may have a

pretty good alternator already. Optimas are not bad, but there are better I believe.

An Optima Yellow Top may be enough with big 3 and the zx1000.

i got a 150 with the stock 130amp alt running the zx1500 and a stinger spv70 in the back with run of 1/0 for power and run of 1/0 for ground to the back battery, front battery is gold duralast got the grounds on the big 3 done but not the alt upgrade at full tilt at idle only drops to 13 and i also have 350rms of comps so total is 1950rms only drop to 13
