I agree an AK would be a good zombie gun for foot-based protection. But for sniping I would want a rifle. 30-06 is cheap. Remington model 710 is a good buy in the sub $400 range. Frickin' Walmart sells them around here!

I have a side-by-side 12ga like in zombieland. It may be my first go-to for home protection but I wouldn't rely on it for zombies. A model 870 pump would be prerferred. Break action are benefited by long reliability though. Jamming isn't a concern either. I use it for clays
