As an owner of both DLS and Zapco, I'd give the edge to Zapco in a contest....1000 damping factor, pssshht please who can compete with that. DLS does make some down right beautiful amps [think Sweedish bikini team:naughty: ]

If you do decide to by a Zap, I'd encourage you to think of it as a lifetime investment....and yes they are worth every penny. But, if you can't or don't want to cough up the cash, you might be able to find some here (I do not advocate buying from these places....but it's up to you)

Are you set on that much power? I ask because Dls makes some great amps (every bit as good as Zapco but not w/ the same wattage specs- more dynamic as well) and Tplaya07 sells them on here for really great prices. For your comps, and Ultimate A3 would kick *** with an A1 or A2 as the rear fill (if you insist on having that evil stuff! JK!) That way you could break up the cost some and have amps every bit as good as the Zapco (that's my opinion anyway) Check out :http://www.dlsamerica.com

ok so ur suggesting an Ultimate A3 for my front comps? it looks like the can push anywhere from 100 watts to 270 depending on teh ohms...i actually need 180, so that should work for the front 2...and about the rears, they only need 80 a piece so mabye a A2 for the rear coax's?...that looks preety good 2 me...how much does Tplaya07 sell them 4...any idea?

simple question...which would YOU choose the zapco 1000.4 or the Orion 8004....they are going to power a set of rainbow comps in front adn a pair of coax's in bak...

you should have jsut listened to me. i actually have a 1000.4 in my boat, love it, want one for my truck.

now the new zapco amps (showed at CES) are hot- digital eq's on board- very interested in seeing them. Still gonna replace my Xtant with Dls, Genesis, or Audison- prob. Dls because I am a wh0re for the Dls!
