You need to catch up on some reading from past post my friend... Two people tested these things and got within 100 watts of each other...

7900 for on guy and

7990 for scottie johnson... I think those numbers are right.. Could be backwards

I will clamp mine tomorrow and let ya guys know... Im not goint to get 15,000 watts from mine but I should get 7500+ im hoping.... I have a Stock Alt and only 3 Stinger SPV70 batteries and a stock battery up front.... We will see

Both are great amps... Im pretty sure they use the same board so they do look the same but they prob use diffrent components.... IMO i would go with the ATOMIC but thats just me... I dunno if u know this but the IA 40.1 and the AB 500.1 share the same board also... I heard the only differance is the components once again...

Then u should be fine.... The older one has the Two big Transformers on the Board and the Newer ones have Four Smaller ones....
