Youtube wants to put adds in my vids...

And "pay" me.

They made a similar offer less than a year ago and I ignored it. Now with this second offer, I did look a little deeper into it, but the info is just generalities without creating an "addsense?" account.

Well I don't want to create an account, get my vids spammed to ell, and then get "paid" 57 cents at the end of the year.

If however, the adds don't take over my content, and the money is decent, I would be willing to consider.

My question is;

Does anyone have experience with this sort of thing?

sounds like a scam to me.. youtube has power to do just about whatever they want on their site.. that form of payment will probably result to pennies if that.

who knows though, ive never had that.

good luck with it. its a funny way of them trying to make money off peoples vids. just think its funny how they send that email to everyone

I had it offer it to me when i went to youtube.com once. But i read through the terms i think you have to have permission to play other peoples music in your vids so I didnt wanna deal with all that bs

They took a vid of me chasing a GT-R through the mountains because of the music I used. Rather than kill the audio like they have done in the past, they "took" the video, called a "featured" video, and last I checked, I was unable to get stats or anything for it.

It's still says it was posted by me, but I'm not really sure I have any control over it any more.

yeah it has something to do with getting rights for the music.
