Your favorite SQ disc?

So, to fellow SQ-heads like myself....

When you wanna show off your SQ system to someone, what disc do you reach for? Any genre, any artist... What makes your system shine?

I am partial to:

Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms

Diana Krall - When I Look Into Your Eyes

Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon

And as a rocker... Offspring - Greatest Hits (though sometimes their production makes me cringe)

1. Jude Cole 'Start the Car'

2. Don Fagen 'The Night Fly'

3. Phil Collins 'Serious Hits Live!'

4. Don Fagen 'Morph The Cat'

5. The Crystal Method 'Tweekend'

Those also happen to be some of my favorite regular listening CD's too....

Gorillaz- Demon Days. It's got everything.
x2...Their songs have a variety of things:: chorous type vocals, hard bass, crazy highs, and... yea I like them. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

I love this disc, simply amazing.
Roch, I use Dire Straits a lot too. As for Diana Krall, I really do prefer the Live in Paris album, but I'm very partial to live stuff. I like my Sarah Brightman disc as well.
Dire Straits has always made good sounding albums. Mark Knopfler was kinda anal about that, or so I have heard. In fact, Brothers in Arms was one of the first rock albums to be recorded and mixed digitally and the sound quality was such that it received awards for production quality. While familiar with some of their hits off of other albums, I have only recently begun to delve deeper into their other albums.Very deep as in most all of the songs are good.

Live in Paris is a fantastic album. I plan to use the DVD in the car whenever the installation of the new stuff is done.

Speaking of Paris.... Anyone got Supertramp's Paris disc? I haven't heard the CD but used to have the tape way back in the day before I got a good system. It was always one of my favorites and I am hoping the SQ on the CD is worthy of a good system. That is a mighty fine live album.

Also looking for some live DVDs of Eric Clapton and some live Rush for the same purpose.

I am loving this thread. Starting to get quite the list going of some stuff I already have with some stuff I wanna check out. Hope some of y'all gettin the same enjoyment out of this.

Another album with a wide variety of styles and performances is Nelly Furtado's "Whoa, Nelly" which is one of my faves too. I was very disappointed in her follow-up album though.

I am definitely gonna check out that Gorillaz tho.
